Raytheon Expands to The Refinery in the New UA Tech Park at The Bridges

Raytheon, an RTX business, expanded operations with a move to the new University of Arizona (UA) Tech Park at The Bridges, just minutes away from the university’s main campus. Raytheon celebrated the office opening with a private ribbon cutting ceremony on December 7. Raytheon’s expansion is the result of a $6.5M capital investment that will create over 100 high-skill jobs. Raytheon will occupy approximately 14,000 square feet of office space at The Refinery.

Raytheon is the first corporate tenant at the multitenant building in the park called The Refinery, sharing a secure floor with UA Applied Research Corp., or UAARC, a nonprofit corporation that handles national security projects for government and industry. The building's name, The Refinery, emphasizes its proximity to the talent and sharp minds that can be mined from the university built by development partner The Boyer Company in close coordination with Tech Parks Arizona. The new space provides the ideal location for Raytheon to collaborate with university and government agencies to develop next-generation technology.

Raytheon is a longstanding partner with UA through its workforce, innovation and technology initiatives. The company is also one of the largest tenants in the UA Tech Park at Rita Road since establishing its operations there in 1993. The park has served as an ideal business location for the company for years, and the same world-class team is invested in its success at the new location.

CAST Opens Office at The Refinery

The University of Arizona College of Applied Science & Technology (CAST) held an open house showcasing their newest location at The Refinery located within the UA Tech Park at The Bridges. Dean Packard and Provost Marx shared their enthusiasm for growth and innovation in the college. Virtual Learning, VR experiences, and cutting-edge projects were in the spotlight as they work to bridge the digital divide and shape future-ready leaders!

Cocoa Day at the Park

Warmth and cheer filled the air at the UA Tech Park as we marked National Cocoa Day. In the spirit of spreading joy, Tech Park provided free cups of delicious hot cocoa to our hardworking employees at the park. It was a fun and festive way to pause, connect, and appreciate the simple pleasures that make the holiday season special.

Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things

The UArizona Eller College of Management's annual Women's Tea on December 7 celebrated hardworking women in the community. “Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things Networking Tea” is a program that acknowledges the achievements of professionals and Eller students. The event honored Jessa Turner, Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications, Tech Park Arizona amongst several other individuals. The gathering not only fosters connections but also inspires and highlights the remarkable contributions of women in the Tucson business community.

Holiday Giving

In the spirit of the season, our team came together to give! We connected with Wings for Women, a non-profit committed to providing a safe and positive environment for homeless and underprivileged women and their children. To spread holiday cheer, personal contributions were collected in the office to purchase gifts for a single mother and her two young children.
